Madra Dağı ve çevresindeki orman ağaç türleri ve sıklık derecelerinin coğrafi dağılışının uzaktan algılama teknikleriyle belirlenmesi
Özet
Terrestrial measurements are commonly used as an information source in forest resoures inventory. Terrestrial measurements and observations are time consuming and expensive methods. To reduce ground works, remote sensing data are widely used. For these reasons, to separate stand types and other land uses and map them, aerial photos have been used in Turkey since 1953. Due to recent developments in satellite technology, multi spectral satellite data are used in a wide range in forestry studies. So far, data from 30*30 m. resolution Landsat-5 TM and Landsat-7 ETM and 20*20 m. resolution SPOT-4 satellite images have been used in studies to estimate growing stock. It is important to conduct studies related to estimation of stand parameters by using data from satellite images with high spatial resolution that recently have been offered for sale.In this study, forest regions and tree species in the round Madra mountain and Kozak flatland were determined by using Landsat-7 ETM data dated June 2000. Satellite data classified with supervised method by using Erdas 9.1 version. This work has been showed that Landsat-7 ETM data is usefull to determine the forest coverage.
