Determining the Opinions Regarding Home Care Services: A Study Undertaken in Physicians and Nurses of Social Insurance Institute Ankara Training Hospital This research has been carried out for the purpose of establishing the opinions towards describal characteristic about home care services of the doctors and the nurses who have worked in the Ankara Training Hospital of Institution of Social Insurance Institute. Random, stratified sampling method, using service and job strata variables, has been carried out in the research. Research questionnaires has been filled in by 357 individuals in total (148 nurses and 209 doctors). The research has been performed by face to face interviewing method, using a questionnaire which was developed by the researches in order declare individual opinions of doctors and nurses on home care between 01.04.2002 and 30.10.2002. In statistical assessing of datas have been carried out factor analysis, t test, variance analysis with one factor and Tukey HSD. In the performed factor analysis, two sub-dimensions, that is "structure of home care services" and "practice of home care services in Turkey" have been established. In this research it has been searched that whether there is statistically meaningful difference between independent variables and established two sub- dimensions and item scores that have been chosen among the inquiry related to four different limited aspects having different theme (home care funds should be provided by the state;home care services increase the availability of supportive health services; home care services increase the life quality of patients; home care services supplement the services at hospital). It has been an established that there have been statistically meaningful differences in sub-scale scores of home care services increase the availability of supportive health services home care services increase the life quality of patient, and item scores of home care services supplement the services at hospital in contract to job conditions. There haven't been found any statistically meaningful differences in 145findings related to the other hypothesis of the research. It can be mentioned that new further researches might be carried out in larger groups including especially home care health professionals and those who work at health institutions in order to determine point of views on the subject aiming to develop a discussion base throughout TurkeyKey Words: Health Services, Home Care, Health Professional
