In this study, using the concepts of critical masculinity studies and psychoanalytic criticism method, different reprensentations of masculinity in Turkish cinema during the 2000s are analyzed in terms of feminist perspective. While focusing on the male subjectivity in the context of existing social power relations, the study claims that masculinity is diversified in Turkish cinema in the 2000s. In addition, it aims to reveal whether there is a liberating attitude or not during the period and what kind of images are presented about masculinity crisis. In this context İtiraf, Korkuyorum Anne, Yazı Tura, Mustafa Hakkında Herşey, Kabadayı, Başka Semtin Çocukları, Issız Adam, Üç Maymun, Nefes Vatan Sağolsun, Çoğunluk and Kaybedenler Kulübü are discussed in the light of the above mentioned considerations and male characters in these films are analyzed around their relationship with different dynamics such as gender, class, nation state, modernization and sexuality.
