Yakakayı (Eskişehir) gölet yerindeki ofiyolitik kayaçların mühendislik ve petrografik özellikleri
Özet
ABSTRACT Master Thesis ENGINEERING AND PETROGRAPY PROPERTIES OF OPHIOLITIC ROCKS AT YAKAKAYI (ESKİŞEHİR) DAM SITE Emre Aytuğ ÖZSOY Ankara University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Geological Engineering Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aydın ÖZSAN Yakakayı dam site is located 25 kilometres far from Northeren part of Eskişehir province. The rock units at the dam site are ophiolitic rocks of Upper Cretase in age and terrace, tallus and alluvium of Quaternary age. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the engineering, petrography and slakes durability properties of ophiolitic rocks at Yakakayı dam site. For this purpose, after the petrography cores correlated and XRD analyses core samples were named and laboratory tests on core samples were carried out to find out physico-mechanical properties. As a result of laboratory tests, uniaxial compressive strength mean of ophiolitic rocks as basalts 63,02 MPa; limestones 15,69 Mpa, radiolarias 28,37 Mpa and serpantines 13,47 Mpa. Also slake durability index properties of ophiolitic rocks are high class so that there is no problem about durability and porosity at the dam site. 2003, 79 pages Key Words: Yakakayı, Geotechnic, Ophiolitic, Petrography 11
