Türkiye'de yaşayan kadınların göreli yoksunluk ve adil dünya inancı ile siyasal katılım düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki

The aim of this study is to find out whether there is a relationship between relative deprivation, just world belief and political participation of women living in Turkey and it has been studied whether these variables show differences according to the education and the socio economic level.Moreover, the participants whose political participation levels are high and those whose are low have been compared in terms of their relative deprivation and just world belief scores. The sample consisted of 302 women. Relative deprivation scale (to develop for this study), justification scale and political participation scale (to develop for study) used in this study.The findings showed that relative deprivation is positively related to political participation and just world belief is negatively related to political participation. Also, it has been observed that subjects who have high political participation level have higher relative deprivation level than who have low political participation level.With respect to the group comparisons, significant differences have been attained between the participants who belong to different SES in terms of different relative deprivation levels. The highest level belongs to the middle SES. Furthermore, it has been observed that of all the participants who were compared to in terms of their education levels also have the highest political participation levels
