Sağpazarı ve Toyhane (Çankırı- Çorum havzası) antiklinallerinin petrol potansiyellerinin incelenmesi
Özet
Under the influance of Turkey?s tectonic activities and the North Anatolian fault during the Late Cretacous and Miocene times, the Çankırı- Çorum basen has been affected. The anticlines, syclines, faults and subsurface salt structures witness these tectonic movements around the Toyhane- Sağpazarı region. The tectoic elements in the study area are oriented in SW-NE direction. Field and well data around the Sağpazarı- Toyhane and seismic data indicate the presence of reservoire İncik formations sandstones in subsurface. The most important anticlines and faults on the surface are located in Toyhane- Sağpazarı area. The subsurface salts have been migrated during the Miocene tectonics and fault- related structures, were formed possibly bearing oil accumulatins. In which oil could be accumulated. In TPAO drilled some wells in order to test these salt- related structures: The Sağpazarı-1 and Topuzsaray-1 exploration wells. The field and welldata indicate possible presence of reservoir and source rocks and subsurface salt structures. Therefore; the study area becomes very important from the petroleum exploration point of view.
