Most of the studies on privacy focus on civilization in specific and they point to the juridical violation of privacy. Privacy is a huge subject matter for different perspectives; privacy on the internet, the protection of personal information, patient privacy, publicity of privacy etc. All these variety of topics mean that privacy is also an ethical matter.In Turkey the studies on this subject are specificly deals with the veiling of women, the discussions on public sphere, modernity and urban architecture. The relation between law and privacy has also been taken up by the academicians.Since 80?s the private life and sexuality have been visible in media discourse. Private life which was really private before, has became a common subject of public opinion and open affair in Turkey. It has been an object of confession.Recently the ?Women?s Programs? on TV is one of the most frequent example of the publicization of the privacy. On these programs the family problems, marital matters and other subjects about the private life of the people who join the program in the studio are discussed in details. And these programs have been criticized because of their psychological and sociological effects.The ?Women?s Programs? are an instrument of sensation and rating but they also allege to be a suitable medium for negotiating the gender issues.
