Abstract

work al-Umniyya is about ?Desired and expected qualityin realizing the intention?. And it is an independent work which treats?the intention? as the central theme.The research is composed of an introduction an three chapters.n the first chapter; the work ?el-Umniyye fi- draki?n-Niyye? ofShihabuddin al-Qarafi is treated.n the second chapter; Qarafi?s views on intention in generalcontext, is studied in detail.n the third chapter the relation between intention and theworship (ibadat) is studied; and together with it, in divorce and oath(yamin) is also treated as separate parts of the topic.n the conclusion the importance of niyya, with particular contextof the worship is summed up.Submited by Vohid Matkarimovto Ankara University as a thesisfor the degree of master of Artsin slamic Law in the Faculty ofDivinity.
