Bilge Karasu metinlerinde benlik arayışı: Ben`in kuruluşunda Nietzsche`vi yansımalar
Özet
One of the most fundamental issues in philosophy has always been thesearch for 'self' in general. It is an expression of the situational complexitythat an individual experiences in its own ways of defining the self. Just likethe transmutation of the individual during its physical and cognitivedevelopment, it transforms while trying to define itself and its environment. When defining or going through the necessity of defining the reality thatsurrounds itself, the individual turns its face to its own subjectivity andquestions the self. In the works of Bilge Karasu, self based connections andthe construction of characters are interwoven. Identification of such relationsare constructed on the human typologies of Nietzschean philosophy. On thegrounds of self development, Nietzsche classifies human being as massman, free man and tragic man. With respect to its choices and acts, theindivual is positioned in life at these three levels. The characters in the works of Bilge Karasu, with their motion anddevelopment, have some features of the search for self which is indicated inNietzschean philosophy. It is possible to analyse these personalcharacteristics and behaviours with respect to Nietzschean human typologyat three levels. In the works of Bilge Karasu, the Nietzschean mass man isevaluated according to the reception of reality by the indivual. Free man isexplained through the concepts of road and travelling in these works.Similarly, images used for the tragic man are 'disappearance' and 'death'.These three images, together with the choices and the ways of self-definitionof the fictive characters in the texts, describe the results of their acts intendedto their subjectivity.
