Nükleer tıpta planar ve tomografik incelemerde standart fantom kullanılarak farklı sistemlerin görüntü işleme algoritmalarının kıyaslanması
Özet
The accuracy of the clinical SPECT examinations is highly depends upon the acquisition and processing parameters which are selected according to the clinical task. These parameters are usually set within the protocols in order to make standardization from one study to other one and also speed up the clinical routine. Methods; In the first part of this work, two clinical protocol, brain and general SPECT, have been compared for five different SPECT systems. Tomographic images of Jaszczak phantom were obtained at each system for both protocols using the default acquisition and processing parameters. In the second part of the work, tomographic study of a standard protocol was carried out at each system with the Jaszczak phantom. Projection data were transferred to other system softwares for reconstructions. Results; For the first part of the work the contrast variations up to 1.78 and 1.91 times among the systems were found. The accuracy of the similar reconstruction algorithms as well as data transfer were investigated, maximum contrast variation was 1.24 among the softwares in the second part of this study. Performance of SPECT systems were also tested using similar acquisition protocols and reconstruction software, and 1.36 times differences were noticed in these comparisons. Conclusions; The default clinical protocols offered by the manufacturer for similar studies may be different from each other. User should do necessary modification on these protocols using phantom studies as well as established standardization for the same purpose protocols among the softwares.
