Ankara-Hasanoğlan taş ocakları onarımı ve kentsel kullanım açısından değerlendirilmesi üzerine bir araştıma
Abstract
The quarries that are put into business depending on only jeological, technical and economical factors severely damage the environment in terms of ecology, economy and aesthetics during and post operation.The fact that Hasanoğlan Quarries, which were put into business about 50 years ago, have been settled within the residential area including the ground plan and city development proves to be detrimental for both the environment and human health. The surroundings are particularly disturbed by explositions, noise, dust and erosion and the visual landscape is depreciated in value.The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of the quarries on Hasanoğlan and its surroundings, to put forth the current conditions of quarries in respect of obtained information and to elobrately approach the planning following the culmination of operations in the quarries. Also, it has been aimed to develop the plans for land use optionally, to designate the most appropriate use or uses for the area by means of kanititative technics and to bring up suggestions as to detailed restoration of the landscape.The natural and the cultural structure of the working area covering Hasanoğlan Quarries prior to operation has been investigated, their effect on the environment being analysed with the help of models. By approaching repair works compatible with urban use, six alternatives that are forrestation, private forrestation, hobby gardening, settlement, industry and recreation have been examined to check if they are suitable for the area and the decision upon the land use has been made with the help of AHP. Following the planning for the land use, it has been suggested that the area should be bettered for forrestation and private forrestation in accordance with the decision upon the land use.
