Özet
This thesis, which is examined political and social aspects of Roman urbanization period, consist of three part except Introduction, Litterary Introduction and Conclusion. In the Introduction a short summary of thesis is given and the aim and the method is explained. Books of Ancient writers, coin and ephigraphic catalogues which were used preparing the thesis were introduced in the Litterary Introduction.The historical background of Ancient civilization?s ?Urban? term is explained and emphisized the statues is given to the cities and the important of the cities in government in the First Part. The historical progress periods of Danubian and Thracian regions are explained in the Second Part. In this part, geographical borders of both two regions are examined firstly and the informations about the tribes living this region are given. It is mentioned that the relations of Romans with Thracian region started with the first match in 233 BC the relations between Roma and Danubian region. In this part, historical progress periods of both regions are limited bordered to include of the I-III. centuries AD.The urbanisation periods of Danubian and Thracian provinces are taken up in the Thirth Part. The cities established in both two regions are examined chronologically and what is the aim to give statues to this cities and this aim was came to real or not is explained in this part.
