Özet
The ideas put forward in this thesis, which investigate the phenomenon of globalization and its impacts on the Middle East are founded on the fundamental argument that globalization can be best explained in the context of establishment of the global domination of capitalism and power relations among the dominant actors. First and foremost, different approaches relating to globalization have been studied with a view to defining the concept of globalization. In this connection, the basic theories of international relations have been briefly discussed. Subsequently, the research methodology, which was utilized for the development of the definition of globalization, has been offered. In the frame of this research methodology, the formation of the concept of globalization has been discussed with a historical perspective and the causal relationships were identified. The fundamental argument and sub-theories have been tested with a historical perspective. Attempt was made to identify likely future tendencies taking heed of results of globalization. According to the research, the position that the Middle East was isolated from the globalization was absolutely contradicted. On the contrary, it was concluded that the Middle East has been reshaped in social, political, military and economic terms under the impact of globalization. It was further concluded that the Middle East has had an undeniable contribution to the degree of globalization.
