In this thesis, Turkish Garden Style is reviewed beginning from the Middle East Turks through modern times. The changes in time, influences and special Turkish uses are examined by the help of some different examples. The characteristic planning style, plantation, structural planning of Turkish gardens are examined. As research area, Aynalikavak Pavilion, the garden that shows the Turkish Garden style with the least influence of the West and Dolmabahçe Palace, the garden planned under the influence of late renaissance and baroque style, are chosen. After examining the historical background, the planning style, plantation, structural styles of Aynalikavak Pavilion and Dolmabahçe Palace are investigated. Also information about the Aynalikavak Conservation and Restoration Project that is sponsored by Paul Getty Foundation is presented.
