T.C. Ziraat Bankası'nın tarım kesimine yönelik halkla ilişkiler çalışmalarının yetişkin eğitimi açısından değerlendirilmesi: Haymana ve Polatlı örneği
"The Evaluation of the Studies of Public Relations Toward Agricultural Population in Scope of Adult Education of T.C. Ziraat Bank (Haymana and Polatlı Samples)" Master Thesis SUMMARY Approximately the half of the population of Turkey lives in rural areas and deal with agriculture. The government take & apply some precautions to provide better standards of living to the people who live in rural areas. Some part of this precautions which are related to agriculture and banking is tried to be performed by Ziraat Bank as a government bank. What are the public relation activities of the bank toward the farmers? What are the problems and solution proposals about this issue? How can this studies can be evaluated in scope of adult education? For this purpose, the public relation activities of the bank is reviewed generally, the actions of public relations toward farmers are determined and evaluated in scope of adult education. We can list the findings as the followings. The education level of the bank personnel is high. But, they are not trained enough about public relations issue. Bank uses brochures & posters for advertising their purposes a lot and uses often television and radio. But, enough research was not performed about public relation activities and adult education was not used in these studies. It was observed that improvement of the relations with farmers needs foundation of a sub-department which can perform public relations toward farmers. Farmers are generally primary school graduates, has not enough soil, has no interest toward textual materials, use radio and television as an entertainment and information purposes, watch and listen private television and radio stations much more, use the verbal communication channel and explain that they know a little information about the banking facilities provided to them. Farmers also say that banks do not behave them closely and sincerely. They can not deal with publications of bank reaches them a little. They desire that Banks' publications should easily reach them and when publication is prepared the properties of the target population should be taken in consideration carefully. They say that they go to bank to take credit and give back payment and want that bank should simplify the procedures, to make better the back payment. It was proposed that bank should give base to the studies of public relations by researches with the usage of adult education that will benefit to the public relations toward farmers when taking into consideration of poverty of them.
