Rızaya dayalı evlenen mağdur kadınlar olarak genç evlilerin deneyimleri üzerine bir araştırma
Özet
Laws and implementations that regulate marriage age and peer relationships in Turkey present differences from the World in general and have aspects thatdo not comport with society's sociological realities. Thousands of young who bring about the union of marriage at a young age fondly and willingly despite the current laws either cannot benefit from their social citizenship rights in order to escape from the law, or legal action is taken as regards to them, and after a public prosecution that takes years; as a result, they are condemned to imprisonment with hard labor. The victimization caused due to this execution both wounds the public's conscience and causes a very crowded mass of victims to emerge. In our study, interviews with a sample group formed of 15 young women from different parts of Turkey; who married willingly before reaching the age designated by the Turkish Civil Code, and due to this marriage, their husbands were sent to jail as a result of the public persecution taken as regards to them, were made. With these profound interviews, the problems they faced and the unjust suffering they went through from the time of the beginning of the union of their marriage to today were tried to be understood. In the first section, the scope and content of terms regarding family and marriage and sociological terms regarding these terms are included. In the second section, the effects of legal implementations in Turkey and in different places in the World regarding forming and conducting the union of marriage and the international treaties that Turkey is a side of on the implementations of our country tried to be presented. In the field research section, which we discussed by associating the first two sections, the demographic information regarding the participants, their experience before the marriage union, the reasons which motivated them to commit the union of marriage at an early age, and the struggles caused by the marriage union formed at an age earlier than the age stated in the law were tried to put forward. The consequences of this process both to the individuals who brought about this marriage union and their relatives, notably the children, were included.
