Özet
This study consists of two parts. In the first part, the concept and elements of personal data, the history of personal data protection and international regulations, the legal nature of the right of protection of personal data and the processing of personal data are discussed. In the second part, personal data protection in Turkish Law, especially the protection of personal data in Turkish Criminal Law and the types of crimes prescribed by law are examined generally. The types of crimes that are examined in this study are; Article 135 "Recording of Personal Data", Article 136 "Illegally Obtaining or Giving Data" and finally Article 138 "Destruction of Data" legislated in Penal Code of Turkey under the title of "Offences Against Privacy and Confidentiality Violation of Confidentiality of Communication". The types of crime have been evaluated in terms of Turkish Criminal Law, and the elements of these crimes, their specific appearance and procedural provisions have been examined.
