| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırma, bir teknolojik sistem olarak IPTV'nin karakteristik özelliklerini ve eğitsel potansiyelini belirlemek, çeşitli ülkelerdeki uygulama örneklerini karşılaştırmalı olarak incelemek amacıyla; tarama modellerinden genel tarama modeline uygun olarak planlanıp veri toplama amacıyla doküman inceleme tekniği kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Toplanan verilerin derlenmesi sonucunda, kavramsal çerçeve başlığı altında IPTV sisteminin teknik yapısı ve hizmetleri hakkında bilgi verilirken bulgular ve yorumlar başlığı altında dünyada ve Türkiye'de kullanım yaygınlığına bakılmış ve hangi sektörlerde kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, IPTV'nin eğitsel kullanımda üstlenebileceği işlevler, üstünlükleri, yararları, sınırlılıkları üzerinde durulmuş ve IPTV sisteminin uzaktan eğitim, kişiselleştirilebilir/uyarlanabilir öğrenme, harmanlanmış öğretim, ters-düz öğrenme ve bağlaşık öğretim gibi çeşitli öğretim uygulamalarında kullanımından söz edilmiştir. Eğitimle ilgili son bölümde kullanımında dikkat edilmesi gereken hususlara değinilmiştir. Bulgu ve yorumların son bölümünde, çeşitli ülkelerde IPTV'nin eğitim alanında kullanımı ile ilgili çalışmalardan bahsedilerek uygulamayı yapan kişilerin sistemle ilgili görüşlerine ve çalışma sonuçlarına yer verilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, IPTV sisteminin dünyada kullanımının her geçen gün arttığı, Türkiye'de yaygınlaşabileceğini gösteren verilerin varlığı ve eğitsel kullanımda yararlı olabilecek hizmetlere sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Ancak, IPTV hizmetlerinin etkili kullanımının yapılacak tasarım ve içeriklerle sağlanabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Ülkelerde yapılan çalışmalar içeriğin önemini teyit etmektedir. Ayrıca, sonuç ve öneriler bölümünde IPTV sistemi ve eğitsel kullanımı ile ilgili çeşitli değerlendirmeler yapılmış ve sistemi kullanmak isteyeceklere ve araştırmacılara önerilerde bulunulmuştur. The aim of this study is to determine the features of IPTV as a technological system and the educational potential of IPTV, and to examine application of it in various countries. Content analysis research design was used in this study. In this study, when some information was given about technical structure of IPTV system and services of IPTV in the theoretical framework section, in results and discussion section, the prevalence of IPTV in the world and in Turkey and which sectors use IPTV were explained. Moreover, IPTV's functions supporting education, educational supremacy, benefits, limitations and various educational applications which can be performed by IPTV such as distance education, personalized/adaptive learning, blended learning, flipped learning and anchored instruction were stated. Furthermore, the end of results and discussion section, various examples from different countries were given about the use of IPTV in education and researchers' opinion and the result of their studies related to the use of IPTV in education were expressed. The end of the study, it was determined that the use of IPTV has been increasing in the world and Turkey and IPTV has effective services for educational purposes. However, using its features effectively can be provided good design and content whose importance is confirmed by various countries. In the last section, conclusion and recommendations, several evaluations were done about IPTV system and educational use of IPTV while some suggestions were given researchers and some people wanting use this system.
