In this study, biological (at 20±1ºC, 25±1ºC, 30±1ºC) and behavioral studies (at 25±1ºC) between Chelonus oculator and Phthorimaea operculella, five pesticides effects (spinetoram, chlorantraniliprole, gamma cyhalothrin, phosphorous acid, Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki) on parasitoid development and behavior were investigated in laboratory conditions. In biology studies, the highest emergence rate of C. oculator has found at 30°C, the shortest development time has observed at 20°C, the longest adult life has determined at 25°C. It was observed the highest adult weight was at 25°C in both males and females. It has been determined the sex ratio is in favor of men as the temperature decreases. In behavioral studies, the basic behaviors of C. oculator and the effects of superparasitism were examined for the first time. The time spent for behavioral criteria was found higher in parasitized host. The highest emergence rate was obtained with 86.21% in three times parasitism. No difference was found between development, adult life and weight, sex ratio of the parasitoid according to the degree of parasitism. These results showed that superparasitism can be adapted for C. oculator. In side effect studies, the biological activity of five pesticides in recommended dose, 1/2 and 1/20 of the application dose was determined by applied to egg, larvae (1st and 3rd) and adults of the parasitoid. Female parasitoids were subjected to choice test in Y tube olfactometer. All pesticides used in the trials were found highly toxic in pre-adult periods. It has been concluded that effects of all doses of gamma cyhalothrin and spinetoram are very harmful to adult parasitoids. It was determined that the chemicals have repellent and host odor has an atractant effect. Side effect experiments show that parasitoid activity can be increased with appropriate pesticide selection and use. These results show that C. oculator can be used in integrated management with Potato tuber moth.tr_TR
