Diyâr-ı Bekr bölgesi, el-Cezire'nin üç bölümünden birini oluşturur. el-Cezire bölgesinin idari taksimatında bazı dönemlerde içerdiği merkezler değişmişse de genel itibariyle; başta Âmid olmak üzre; Meyyâfârîkîn, Mardin, Dara, Erzen ve Suveyda'dan oluşmuştur. Hz. The Diyar-i Bekr region is one of the three parts of al-Jazeera. In the administrative division of the al-Jazeera region, the centers in some periods changed, but in general; mainly Âmid; Meyyâfârîkîn, Mardin, Dara, Erzen and Suveyda. In the period of Hz. Umar, the Diyar-ı Bekr region, in 18/639 under the command of Iyad b.Ğanm such as the other regions, the cities were settled in peace and the lands were forced into Islam. The Diyar-ı Bekr region has always protected its geographical location and the feature of being a region with various and efficient products from the irrigation of the fertile lands with the waters of the Tigris River. It has hosted the most ancient civilizations due to its efficient condition and many ethnic and religious people living together but sometimes it was a region that could not be shared. In addition to the belief in Judaism, Christianity as well as the arrival of Islam in the region, the members of different faiths find their place here, Arami, Assyrian, Chaldean, Syrian, Armenian, Kurdish and then Arab tribes have settled in this region. From the Islamic conquest to Hamdânî, the region until Umayyad period and the 'Emîrü"l-Ümerâ", which we call the first period of the Abbâsîds, witnessed many rebellions that would shake society and the economy, especially the Kharijites.tr_TR
