The power of religious music has been effective since the beginning of human history. In almost all religions, religious texts have been read musically and have become an integral part of religious rituals. Today, in Shamanism, religious rituals are performed musically with instruments such as tambourine and flute. Even in primitive tribes, music was not only used as entertainment index, but also the most important factor that brought people closer to the gods they believed. Music has always played a very important role in Christianity. From the Gregorian hymns to the choir compositions and the cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach (organ), music has been the most important factor in the active participation of the church community in the rituals. Religious music in Islam, which is based on the practices of the Prophet, was the most important factor that increased the taste and pleasure of collective worship and encouraged and invited the community to worship. In this context, the use of music in religious music in semantic context, worship and rituals in Islam and Christianity, the comparison of the forms of mosque music and the forms of catholic church music have been the subject of this thesis.
