Performans geribildiriminin okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin önleyici sınıf yönetimi stratejileri ile özel gereksinimli çocuk çıktıları üzerindeki etkisi
Özet
Araştırmada, Performans Geribildirimine Dayalı Öğretmen Eğitimi Programının(PEGEP) okul öncesi kaynaştırma sınıflarındaki öğretmenlerin önleyici sınıf yönetimistratejileri ile özel gereksinimli çocuk çıktıları üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmadatek denekli araştırma modellerinden denekler arası çoklu yoklama modeli kullanılmıştır.Bağımlı değişkenler, öğretmenlerin övgü, tepki fırsatları, ön düzeltme,azarlama/onaylamama davranışları ile özel gereksinimli çocukların olumlu-olumsuzdavranışlarıdır. Bağımsız değişken, kısa bir öğretimin ardından, serbest zamanetkinliklerinde özel gereksinimli çocuklara yönelik kullandıkları hedef stratejilere ilişkinöğretmenlere araştırmacının haftada iki-üç kez gecikmeli olarak sunduğu veriye dayalı,destekleyici, düzeltici bilgileri içeren grafiksel-sözel performans geribildirimi (PG)’dir.Denekler Sivas merkezindeki bağımsız anaokullarında çalışan üç öğretmen ve buöğretmenlerin sınıflarındaki üç özel gereksinimli çocuktur. PEGEP öğretmenlere sıraylabireysel olarak uygulanmıştır. Deney sürecinde öncelikle öğretmenlere hedef stratejilerinaçıklandığı yazılı materyal verilmiş, yaklaşık bir saatlik sunum yapılmıştır. Sonrasındaöğretmen-çocuk davranışlarının gözlenmesi, video kayıtlarından gözlem verilerininçözümlenmesi, öğretmene davranışlarına yönelik PG sunulması süreçleri öğretmenlerstratejileri kullanmada bağımsızlığa ulaşıncaya kadar tekrarlanmıştır.Veriler Öğretmen Davranışları Gözlem Formu (ÖDGF) ve Çocuk DavranışlarıGözlem Formu (ÇDGF) ile toplanmış, grafiksel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmadagözlemciler arası güvenirlik, uygulama güvenirliği, genelleme, izleme ve öğretmenmemnuniyetinin değerlendirilmesi ile sosyal karşılaştırmalar yoluyla sosyal geçerlikverisi de toplanmıştır.vPEGEP öğretmen-çocuk çıktılarında olumlu değişiklikler yaratmıştır. Serbestzaman etkinliklerinde öğretmen-çocuk çıktılarında sağlanan değişikler yapılandırılmışetkinliklere genellenebilmiştir. İzleme sonuçları öğretmenlerin hedef stratejilerikullanımlarının azaldığını, ancak uygulama evresine daha yakın performans sergilemeyedevam ettiklerini gösterirken, çocuk davranışlarında sağlanan değişikliklerinkorunduğunu göstermiştir. Uygulama sonucunda öğretmenler PEGEP’i olumlu ve etkilibir müdahale olarak değerlendirirlerken, özel gereksinimli çocuk davranışları uygulamave referans grubundaki normal gelişim gösteren çocuk davranışlarına benzerlikgöstermiştir.AbstractIn this study, the impact of Teacher Training Program Based on PerformanceFeedback (TTP-PF) on preschool teachers’ use of preventive classroom managementstrategies and outcomes of children with special needs in inclusive classrooms wereexamined. Multiple probe design with probe conditions across subjects which is one ofthe single-subject designs was used in the study. The dependent variables were teachers’praise, opportunities to respond, precorrection, and reprimanding behaviors as well aspositive and negative classroom behaviors of children with special needs. Theindependent variable was the graphical-verbal performance feedback (PF) which wasprovided after a brief instruction by the researcher to the teachers related to the targetstrategies that they were using for the children with special needs during the free play andthe PF included data based, supportive, corrective information that was delayed andoffered two or three times a week. The subjects were three teachers working in the independent preschools in thecenter of Sivas and three children with special needs in these teachers' classrooms. TTPPFwas implemented to the teachers one by one and individually. In the implementationstage, firstly, teachers were given written materials describing the target strategies and apresentation was made by the researcher for about an hour. Subsequently, the processesof observing teacher-child behaviors, analyzing observation data from video recordings, and presenting PF for teacher behaviors were repeated until the teachers reached theindependence level for using the strategies.Data were collected by the Teacher Behavior Observation Form (TBOF) and theChild Behavior Observation Form (CBOF), and they were analyzed graphically. In thisviistudy, inter-observer reliability, procedural fidelity, generalization and social validity datathrough evaluation of teacher satisfaction and social comparisons were also gathered.TTP-PF created positive changes in teacher-child outcomes. Positive changes inteacher-child outcomes in free play were also generalized to the structured activities.Maintenance results showed that teachers' use of target strategies decreased. Howeverteachers’ performance continued to be closer to the implementation phase, changes inchild behavior remained the same. As a result of the training, while the teachersconsidered TTP-PF as a positive and effective intervention, behaviors of children withspecial needs were similar to the behaviors of typically developing children in theexperimental and reference groups.
