A. agrarius (Apodemus alt cinsi) kümeleme analizinde belirlenen en uzak grup iken, A. mystacinus (Karstomys alt cinsi), A. sylvaticus, A. uralensis, A. flavicollis ve A. witherbyi (Sylvaemus alt cinsi) yakın sonuçlar vermiştir. A. sylvaticus’un Trakya, Marmara ve Batı Karadeniz olmak üzere üç coğrafik populasyonu tespit edilmiştir. A. uralensis’in simpatrik ve allopatrik populasyonlarında büyüklük açısından benzerlikler elde edilirken, şekle bağlı kademeli coğrafik varyasyonları tespit edilmiştir. A. flavicollis’in beş coğrafik populasyonundan Trakya, Orta ve Doğu Karadeniz oldukça farklılaşmış fakat Marmara ve Batı Karadeniz populasyonları doğu ve batı populasyonlarının arasında geçiş niteliğinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. A. mystacinus habitat tercihi açısından farklılaşmış olduğundan, morfolojileri üzerinde yalnızca üç coğrafik bölgede üç farklı populasyon sergilemiş ve bu populasyonlar arasında vejetasyona, iklime vb. bağlı kademeli morfolojik değişimler gözlenmiştir. A. witherbyi’nin step ve orman habitatları için iki morfolojik formu tanımlanmıştır. Apodemus türleri populasyonlar arası büyüklük varyasyonları değerlendirilip ve A. sylvaticus, A. flavicollis, A. mystacinus, A. witherbyi için boylam ve büyüklük arasında farklı derecelerde negatif ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir.AbstractMorphological and morphometrical relationships among 505 specimens of Apodemus species representing 49 localities from North Anatolia and Turkish Thrace were investigated and Apodemus sylvaticus, Apodemus agrarius, Apodemus uralensis, Apodemus flavicollis, Apodemus mystacinus and Apodemus witherbyi identified which are distributing in the study area. Sympatric living of two or more than two species was determined especially in Black Sea region. Among Apodemus (i) whether morphological traits are fixed or plastic (ii) the level of morphological character displacement or convergency within sympatric populations (iii) geographical variations according to size and shape were analized by using morphometrics to have a better understanding of size and shape variations. A. agrarius (subgenus Apodemus) was identified as a more differentiated species however A. mystacinus (subgenus Karstomys), A. sylvaticus, A. uralensis, A. flavicollis ve A. witherbyi (subgenus Sylvaemus) were closer to each other than A. agrarius. Three geographic populations of A. sylvaticus were defined as Thrace, Marmara and Western Black Sea. Sympatric and allopatric populations of A. uralensis showed similarities that depend on their size however this species has gradual geographic variations that depend on shape. Three of five geographic variations of A. flavicollis; Thrace, Central and Eastern Black Sea were highly differantiated however Marmara and Western Black Sea populations are like transition populations between west and the east. A. mystacinus that has differentiated by means of habitat preference. Thus it has three populations in three different geographical regions were observed, and those morphological variations were gradual and dependent on vegetation, climate etc. Two discrete morphological forms of A. witherbyi were identified. In addition to that longitude vs. size relations A. sylvaticus, A. flavicollis, A. mystacinus and A. witherbyi were evaluated and different levels of negative size correlations were identified.
