| dc.description.abstract | Giovanni Papini yaşadığı dönem değerlendirildiğinde yenilikçi bir görüşe sahip düşünür olmakla birlikte, entelektüellere, ülkesine ve diğer toplumlara insanlığın içinde bulunduğu çöküşten kurtulabilmesi için liderlik edebileceğine inanan bir düşünürdür. İtalyan yazar dönemin entelektüel çevreleriyle yakın ilişkiler kurar ve onlarla birçok dergi çalışmasında işbirliği yapar. Bunun sonucunda, ortaya pek çok alanda bilgi sahibi ve fikirlerini topluma açıklayan bir düşünür çıkar. Ayrıca, fikirlerini kendisinin de kurucuları arasında bulunduğu dergilerde yayınlayarak İtalya'daki düşünce dünyasına yön veren kişilerden biri olur. Papini Tükenmiş Adam adlı yapıtında ortaya koyduğu düşüncelerle kendi içinde yaşadığı iç çatışmayı ortaya koyar. Bu çatışma, Sanayi Devrimi yaşandıktan sonra özellikle Avrupa toplumlarında yaşam ve çalışma şartlarının değişmesiyle ortaya çıkan ruhsal çöküntüden kaynaklanmaktadır. Yazarın yaşamında karşılaştığı sıkıntılar onun lider olma hedefine ulaşabilmesi hususunda engel olmamasına rağmen, otuz iki yaşında otobiyografisini yazdığı eserinde hayallerine asla ulaşamayacağını itiraf etmiştir. Lakin yine de içindeki öğrenme aşkı ve insanoğluna liderlik etme isteği tam anlamıyla sonlanmamıştır. Bu özelliği ile yaşadığı yılların mücadeleci insan modeline örnek oluşturmuştur. Tükenmiş Adam adlı eser yalnızca yazarı ve çağın insanını anlatmaz, aynı zamanda bir dönemin sosyolojik çözümlemesini de içinde barındırır. Bu yönüyle yapıt XX. yüzyıl yaşam biçiminin, teknolojik gelişmelerinin insanlar üzerindeki etkisini yansıtabilmiştir. Yazar, Tükenmiş Adam adlı eserde daha önce imparatorluklara, devletlere yön vermiş komutanlara ve liderlere ve edebiyat ve düşünce alanında çığır açmış tüm büyüklere öykünerek kendisinin de onlar gibi olacağını hayal etmiştir. Bu ideale ulaşmak için yoğun çaba göstermiştir. Sonuç olarak, İtalyan düşünürün çabaları olmak istediği yere gelebilmesi için yeterli olamasa da, gerek düşünceleri gerek eserleriyle ölümsüz olmayı başarabilmiştir.Absract When the period Giovanni Papini lived in evaluated, he is a modern philosopher as well as a thinker believing that he could lead the intellectuals, his country and other societies in order to save them from the downfall in which humanity was. Italian writer establishes close relationships with the intellectual environment of the period and cooperates with them in lots of works of magazines. Consequently, a thinker, who has knowledge of lots of fields and expresses his thoughts to the society, emerges. Besides, by publishing his thoughts in the magazines among which he is one of the founders, he becomes one of the people dominating over the world of thoughts in Italy. In his work named "The Failure", Papini sets forth his own inner conflict through the ideas he puts forward. This conflict is caused by the psychological collapse emerging with the change of working and living conditions in especially European societies after "the Industrial Revolution". Although the trials and tribulations the author experienced were not obstacles for him in respect of reaching his aims, he confessed that he would never be able to reach his dreams in his work which he wrote his autobiography at the age of thirty-two. Nevertheless, his love of learning and will of leading humanity never ended up. With this characteristic, he became a challenging human model of the time he lived in. His work, "The Failure", does not only tell about the writer and his contemporaries but also includes the sociological analysis of a period. On that sense, the work could reflect the impact of the 20th century life-style and the technological developments on the people. In "The Failure", by emulating the pioneers in the field of literature and thought, leaders and commanders who leaded empires and governments, he imagined that he would be one of them, too. He strived to reach this ideal. As a result, he achieved to become immortal both with his ideas and his works even though the efforts of the Italian thinker were not enough to reach the position he aimed to reach. | |
