Şeker pancarı Yaprak Lekesi Hastalığı (Cercospora beticola)’nın biyolojik savaşımı, bu hastalığın ülkemizde kullanılan fungisitlere dayanıklılık kazanması ve dayanıklı çeşitlerin dayanıklılıklarının çabuk kırılması nedeniyle ele alınmıştır. Biyolojik savaşın etkinliği sera ve tarla koşullarında 2006–2007 yıllarında toplanan pancar örneklerden elde edilen 111 Bacillus ve 11 Pseudomonas izolatları kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Bacillus izolatları sağlıklı görünüşlü bitki yapraklarından, Pseudomonas izolatları ise sağlıklı bitki köklerinden elde edilmiştir. Sera koşullarında (25 ±5 C) 3 tekerrürlü olarak yürütülen denemelerde Bacillus izolatlarının hastalığı engelleme yüzdeleri arasındaki farklılıkların istatistiksel olarak önemli olmadığı bulunmuştur. Sera koşullarında Bacillus izolatları içinde en yüksek etkiyi 4.10.a No’ lu izolat göstermiş (%95) fakat aynı izolat tarla koşullarında 2 yıl denenmiş ve 0 ve % 15 etki sağlamıştır. Bacillus ve Pseudomonas izolatlarının tohuma uygulanarak bitkilerde bu hastalığa karşı bağışıklık uyarıp uyarmadığını belirlemek amacıyla 14 Bacillus izolatı ve 11 Pseudomonas izolatı kontrollü koşullarda tohumlara uygulanmış, gelişen bitkilerde hastalık oluşumu belirlenmiştir. Bacillus izolatlatlarının tohum uygulamaları bitkilerde bağışıklığı arttırmamıştır. Pseudomonas izolatlarının hastalığı önleme bakımından etkileri Bacillus izolatlarına nazaran biraz daha yüksek bulunmuş, ancak uygulamalar arasındaki varyasyonun çokluğu nedeniyle etkinliklerin istatistiksel olarak önemli olmadığı saptanmıştır.AbstractSince the casual agent of sugar beet leaf spot disease, Cercospora beticola, acquires resistance against fungicides and the sugar beet varieties loose their resistance against the pathogen biological control of the disease was studied. Effectiveness of biological control was determined at green house and field conditions by using 111 Bacillus and 11 Pseudomonas isolates obtained from the sugar beet samples collected in 2006–2007. Bacillus and Pseudomonas isolates were obtained from the healthy looking leaves and roots respectively. The differences in the percentages of disease control between the Bacillus isolates obtained in green house conditions (25±5oC) from the experiments carried out at three replicates, were not statistically significant. In green house, the highest rate of control was obtained from the Bacillus isolate 4.10.a, but when it was tested in field conditions in two successive years, it provided 0 and 15% control respectively. In order to determine their effects on acquired resistance, 14 Bacillus isolates and 11 Pseudomonas isolates were applied to the seeds of sugar beet and the growing plants were tested for disease resistance in the controlled conditions. Bacillus isolates didn’t yield any acquired resistance on the plants. Effectiveness of Pseudomonas isolates on acquired resistance were higher than Bacillus isolates but because of the variation between the treatments these effectiveness were not significant.
