Yükseköğretim kurumlarındaki müzecilik ve müze eğitimiyle ilgili bölümler, disiplinlerarası çalışmalarla akademik ve profesyonel iş gücü yetiştirmektedir. Bu araştırmada, Yunanistan örneği müzecilik ve müze eğitimi açısından ülkenin siyasi ve kültürel tarihi bağlamında birincil ve ikincil kaynaklar yardımıyla ele alınmıştır. Ülkenin yükseköğretim kurumlarındaki bölümlerde etkin olarak yürütülen müzecilik ve müze eğitimi dersleri, ders katalogları, programları ve izlenceleri kaynak alınıp içerik analizi yapılarak nitelikleri ve kapsamlarıyla değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirme sonucu müzecilik ve müze eğitimi dersleri, yakın ilişkide olduğu diğer bilimsel alanlarla betimlenmiş, böylelikle Yunanistan'da müzecilik ve müze eğitimi konusu akademik bakış açısıyla kuramsal bir çerçevede sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucu elde edilen bulgular özgün nitelikleriyle belirtilmiştir. Buna ek olarak, kuramsal çerçeve ile bulguların doğrultusunda Yunanistan'daki müzecilik ve müze eğitimi alanlarının gelişimi için ulusal ve küresel bağlamlarda önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Tez, konusu ve uyguladığı yöntemlerle, tarih, dil, müzecilik, müze eğitimi, eğitim bilimleri ve müze bilimi anabilim dallarının alanyazını çerçevesinde bulunmaktadır. The importance of museums in the contemporary world is increasing in terms of culture, society and education. The departments of museology and museum education enhances the academic and professional workforce with the help of interdisciplinary studies. In this research, the example of Greece is evaluated in terms of museology and museum education in the political and cultural historical context through primary and secondary sources. The courses of museology and museum pedagogy in the departments of higher education institutions in Greece are evaluated with their features and scopes by analyzing the content of course catalogues, departmental programs and syllabi. As a result of this evaluation, the museology and museum pedagogy courses are described in relation to their position to other academic disciplines, thus the issue of museology and museum pedagogy in Greece is presented in a theoretical framework from an academic perspective. The findings obtained from the research are defined with their unique features. In addition, regarding the theoretical framework and the findings of the research, suggestions for the development of museology and museum education in Greece are made within national and global contexts.
