Theunit of analysis of the research is 688 police managers at various ranks whowork in different provinces of the country.The data needed to analyze the hypotheses of the research was collectedusing two scales developed by the author with the assistance of survey expertsto measure the democratic attitudes and the interest to art and literature ofpolice managersOn collecting the data, an internet-based survey was used. After collectingthe data, the next step was analyzing the data. First of all, all the surveysassumed reliable were coded to the files generated. The significance ofrelationship between the answers given to the questions in the Inquiry Form ofInterest in Art and Literature and several categorical independent variablesusing the scroll-square test of independence was tested. Whether the scoresreceived from the analysis of Inquiry Form of Interest in Art and Literaturedifferentiates according to the different factors of independent variables wastested using t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).The findings of statistical analyses indicated that the correlation coefficientof the working conditions and attitudes related to the first factor was found as0.61, and of democratic policing understanding attitude on the set as the secondfactor 0.74. The third correlation coefficient for relevant political issues asattitudes factor was found as 0.48 and the correlation coefficient for legal issuesrelating to attitudes as the fourth factor was found as 0.74The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between ranks,tasks, school of graduation, educational status, work place and interest to artand literature of police managers and their democratic attitudes.The findings indicate that police managers have a strong interest inliterature and cinema, read on social and political matters, watch regularly theseries, ?Kurtlar Vadisi, Avrupa Yakası?, listen Turkish Folk Music and Turkish ArtMusic and are eager to learn playing at least one musical instrument andsupporting the idea that this should be delivered as a course in both PoliceCollege and Police Academy, have a strong interest in keeping diaries totransfer what they experience and learn to future generations, and expect theirchildren to follow art and literature.
