Tan, MineAras, Hatice Özden2022-06-132022-06-132006http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12575/81738In this study, it is aimed to reveal the degree of the political, economical, socialand cultural interests of the students attending Faculty of Educational Sciences atAnkara University. The public survey technique was utilized as a part of quantitativeresearch methodology. Questionnaires were given to 415 students. Answers of 248female and 167 male students attending the first, the second, the third and the forthclasses of the above mentioned faculty were evaluated. The responses given toouestionnaires consisting of 28 questions were analyzed by the 7.5 version of theSPSS software. Differences according to the sex and university class of the studentswere analyzed by Chi-square Test. It was observed that there were statisticallysignificant differences between women and men but no statistically significantdifferences were observed among students at different class levels. It was concludedthat the university experience didn?t lead to a comprehensive progress on thestudents? habits such as reading and participating in cultural and social activities. Thestudents were primarily interested in political subjects, followed by economical, socialand educational matters. It was also observed that the cultural subjects were at theend of this ranking.
