Rebuilding itself under the specific circumstances of each period, the idea ?Europe? made the state nations turn into a form in which they assign some of their tasks and responsibilities to supranational foundations, dating from the 1950's. The idea ?Europe?, which aimed to join together in political and cultural dimensions in addition to economic axis with the 1992 Maastricht Treaty, started to be represented with the European Union.
