L. armenus and L. cilicicus are endemic to Turkey. Isolation of secondary metabolites, kaempferol-3-O-glucosyl (1-2) ramnoside, kaempferol-3-O-ramnoside, rhamnocitrin rhamninoside, rhamnetin rhamninoside ve rhamnasine rhamninoside from L. armenus was performed by means of various chromatographic methods. The structure of the obtained compound were elucidated using spectroscopic methods. The total phenolic and total flavonoid content of the methanolic extracts of five species were determined using Folin-Ciocalteu and AlCl3 methods, respectively. Total phenolic content of the extracts was ranged 150.63-452.19 μg/mg and the total flavonoid content was ranged 36.19-105.43 μg/mg. Methanolic extract of L. aureus had the highest phenolic content and metanolic extract of L. laxiflorus exhibited the highest flavonoit content. The n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, methanolic and water extract of five Lathyrus species were also investigated for their radical scavenging activity by DPPH methods. Water extract of L. aureus was showed the strongest activity. The n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, methanolic and water extract of five Lathyrus species were assayed for in vitro antibacterial activity against two Gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis), two Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and one fungus (Candida albicans), using the dilution methods. The highest antibacterial activity was produced by ethyl acetate fractions. The n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, methanolic and water extract of five Lathyrus species were investigated for anti-inflammatory activity by HRBC method. The highest activity was produced by ethyl acetate and aqueous fractions.trAntiinflamatuar ajanlarAntioksidanlarFarmakognoziTürkiye'de yetişen bazı lathyrus taksonları üzerinde farmakognozik araştırmalardoctoralThesis
