The thesis is composed of four parts: In the first part, some information is given about the concept of tourism and its development, the diversities and functions of tourism and with the scientific researches and analyses which has been made so far. In the second part, information on the economical, physical and social effects of tourism, and how they affect the individuals and society with social and cultural changes is mentioned. In the third part the relation of natural resources to tourism and the effect of tourism to natural resources are emphasized. In the fourth and last part of the thesis, the information is given about the project's subject which is Antalya?s district Kas; and the cultural and natural changes that are made by tourism. Research questions are asked to locals of Kas by 308 surveys and the analyze of the statistical data?s of the questions are given.The negative and positive effects of tourism in Kas is tried to be designated.
