Fourty-four fishing vessels in the province of Sinop were grouped as purse-seine, trawl and trawl-purseseine according to fishery types. Questionnares forms were used to collect the data on the costs and earnings of fishing vessels. Net profit (NF) and NF/Total Earnings(TE) of the medium and large-scale fishing vessels in the province of Sinop was determined as 124.183,93 ± 224,639.67 TL and 15.41%, respectively. According to fishery types, NF and NF/TE were found as 657,664.50 TL and 32.07% for purse-seine, 5,633.03 ± 7,991.75 TL and 6.46% for trawls, and 136,038.98 ± 228,003.23 TL and 16.98% for trawl-purseseines, respectively.
