The thesis argues that Russia has been influenced from the Soviet Union in the evolution of its foreign policy and inherited the Soviet legacy in every area. The thesis includes three chapters. In the first chapter, Soviet foreign policy during the Cold War is examined. In the second chapter, the changes in the post-Cold War international politics and the system is examined.
