Each socio economic level was represented by 100 students and there were a total of 300 students' parents participating in the study. The parents were given the questionnaire on "parents' views on child games and toys". The data obtained Mere analysed by using the Chi-Square Method. This evaluation resulted in the fact that parents support the view that games are important in child development and the fact that the majority of parents play games together with their children and provide a suitable atmosphere for their children to play alone or with their friends, that their children discriminate between sexes while playing games, that children who are playing are sometimes interrupted by their parents to ask them for something, that mothers interrupt their game more frequently than fathers and show interest in what their children are producing in their games, with even greater consideration than fathers do, and that children meet their first toys during agesIV of seven to twelve months. It was also found that all these aspects depended on the socio-economic level. What was determined in addition was the fact that parents are of the opinion that toys are an important means of development for children and toys are generally chosen together and depending on the child's desire; and, when their daughters have asked for a toy gun and boys for a toy baby, most of the parents are reported to have a tendency to ask them to choose a different one. All these were determined to be changing according to the socio-economic level.
