Abstract
The latest developments and changes in the global economy showed that the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) become the main dynamic of development. But SME's in Turkey are facing lots of problems, mostly because of the instability in Turkish economy. Management consulting can be used as a supporting system to solve much of these problems which SME's face, but for this, it's a need to understand the meaning and usage of management consulting well. The aim of this study is to find out the view and knowledge of SME's about management consulting, as well as the need for it. Management consulting is not widely used in Turkey and besides the reasons of not using such a service is not known. In this study it is also important to understand the experiences of firms that have used consulting services. 11
