Abstract
In this research, the effect of three organic materials different in origin on size distribution and modulus of rupture in soil crust have been studied by applying to soil different dosages. For this purpose, disturbed samples of surface soil, 0-20 cm, have been taken from Uzunbey neighborhood of Polatlı in Ankara. Within the scope of this study, experiment of incubation and analyzes under the laboratory conditions were performed. Organic materials were applied to soil in four (4) different doses (0, 1, 2 ve 4%), being leonardite, biochar (chicken) and cattle manure compost. Results obtained after a two-month incubation period (I60 ) some physical and chemical soil properties on the modulus of rupture in soil have been different in levels were analysed. It has been observed that especially biochar (chicken) and cattle manure compost organic materials and increasing (1,2,4%) dose applications are effective on the modulus of rupture.
