Abstract
Bu çalışmada travmatik kalça çıkığı tanısı konmuş köpeklerin, dünyada ilk kez uygulanan GATA-FIX eksternal fiksatörü ile sağaltım yönteminin uygulanabilirliğinin değerlendirilmesi, preoperatif ve postoperatif dönemde gözlenen klinik ve radyolojik bulguların karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmesi, alınan sonuçların ve çalışma sırasında kazanılan deneyimlerimizin meslektaşlarımızla paylaşılması amaçlandı.Çalışmanın materyalini, Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı, Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Küçük Hayvan Kliniği'ne getirilen ve travmatik kalça çıkığı tanısı konulan değiş ırk, yaş ve cinsiyetteki 15 adet köpek oluşturdu.GATA-FIX eksternal fiksatörü ile sağaltılan olgular, postoperatif 7., 14., 21. ve 90. günlerde klinik ve radyolojik olarak değerlendirildi. Sonuçlar, klinik olarak Bilgili-Çakıroğlu değerlendirme skalası ile değerlendirildi.Olguların etkilenen ekstremitelerini postoperatif 72 saat içerisinde fonksiyonel olarak kullandıkları ve fonksiyonel iyileşmenin bir olgu dışında, kısa sürede ortaya çıktığı gözlendi. Uzun dönem sonuçları değerlendirildiğinde ise 15 olgunun tamamında mükemmel düzeyde iyileşme sağlandığı görüldü.GATA-FIX eksternal fiksatörü ile sağaltımın, köpeklerde coxofemoral luksasyonların sağaltımında yeni, etkin ve oldukça başarılı bir yöntem olduğu sonucuna ulaşıldı. Bu sağaltım yönteminin komplikasyonu az, uygulaması kolay ve olguların yaşamsal kalitesini çok az etkileyen bir yöntem olduğu kanısına varıldı.AAbstractThis study aims at the evaluation of the applicability of the treatment method using GATA-FIX external fixator, which is applied for the first time in the dogs diagnosed with traumatic hip dislocation; the comparative evaluation of the clinical and radiological findings observed in the preoperative and postoperative stages in addition to sharing the results and the experience gained during our work with our collegues.The material of this study consists of fifteen dogs with the diagnosis of traumatic hip dislocation from different breads, ages and sexes, which were brought to Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Department of Surgery, Small Animals Orthopedics and Traumatology ClinicThe cases treated with GATA-FIX external fixator were evaluated clinically and radiologically on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 90th postoperative days. The results were assessed through Bilgili- Çakıroğlu evaluation scale clinically.It was observed that the patients used their affected extremities functionally within 72 hours after the operation and the functional recovery, apart from one case, took place in a short time. When the long-term results were considered, it was observed that full recovery was provided at an excellent level in all 15 patients.The treatment with GATA-FIX external fixator was brought out to be a new, effective and highly successful method in the treatment of dogs with coxofemoral luxations. This treatment method is concluded to be easy to apply; affecting the vital quality of the patients only a little and with almost no complications.
