Hadislerde Allah tasavvuru

Abstract

This thesis is to aim to determine Allah?s being, unity, divine names, attributes and research Allah?s imagination within the context of prophetic traditions.The study allows to compare God/Allah?s imaginations because of analysing pre-İslâmic period and the holy Qur?an. In this study, we have investigated fabricated hadiths as well as authentic hadiths. Thus we have presented the perspective of whole tradition.The thesis consists of introduction and three section. The concepts of Allah, divine names, attributes, personality have been explained on the introduction having regard to the polemics.The thesis deals with god?s imaginations in the early period, in point of of determining the Prophet Muhammad and his Allah?s imagination. In order to observe the change of god?s imagination, we have given information about god?s imaginations of primitive religions, Christianity, Judaism and Arab community in the period of Jâhiliyye in first chapter.In the second chapter, we study Allah?s being, unity, divine names and attributes in the tradition. The traditions that related to Allah?s names and attributes has been limited according to various criteria. For example, the subject of god?s names has been limited to al-Tirmidhi?s prophetic tradition. As for the matter of attributes has been limited to Mutaşabih attributes. In the understanding and comment of these attributes, we have limited to the sunnis muhaddithûn?s opinions. Whe haven?t considered schools that have small effect in the İslâmic history like ?Müşebbihe?.In the third section, we have investigated god?s imagination on the fabricated hadiths. In this section, we have looked into hadiths that we selected related to god?s imagination in the well-known apocrypal hadith books.
