Tosya ilçesinin ekonomik coğrafyası

Abstract

Administrative district called Tosya is located in the south of Black Sea Region. Tosya, being the administrative district of Kastamonu, depends on it managerially. The avarage altitude of the district from the sea level is 870 meters. The other jeomorfografik units within Tosya district is covered mostly with mountains in the land and which are formed as regional plato, accumulated fans, valleys, rivers and plains within valley levels. The most important river is called Devrez which flows in the east-west direction as a techtonic channel. This typical regianal research has a special transition among Black Sea and Central Anatolion Climates and hence is covered with forests. The moderate increase at the contryside population between 1935-1960 in Tosya district has begun to a sudden decrease especially after 1 970's. The prin cipal reasons of this diminshing margins are inadequate living standarts and the altractiveness of the so called regional district. Istanbul takes the primary step in the migration from countryside to big cities. The population of center was in increase up to 1990's whereas atfer the time it decrieased enormously. Tosya district has 52 villages, a central village and a temporary habitat. Dominated scattered type can be seen in most sections of the villages. Economy of Tosya province is based on agriculture and industry, Most raised agricultural products are, rice in the husk, wheat, sugar beet, various fruits and vegetables. However, rice in the husk has a many different place withinthese crops. Stockbreeding is important in this town. Furthermore, large farm animals, small farm animals, poultry and apiculture has been functioned. Principal underground sources are lignite and manganese. Industry institutions based on glass, soil, metal, agriculture has been active in town. All of the busi ness enterprises are in the form of small and medium sized farm holdings. Transportation with other cities and regions is being provided by highway. Tosya, having a live economy, is in the position of a market of whole villages and near by places and it is an important center of the so called area.
