Abstract
The Bulgarian Renaissance puts the concepts such as homeland, independence, the community more than individuals into the center of attention. For Bulgarian, this age has the function of indipentent state building by getting away Ottoman control and national independence.Renaissance Bulgarian literature term is a term which has national characteristic, and improves with historical progress. Renaissance is a term which studies literary genres, themes and ideas as well. One of most important name of The Bulgarian Renaissance is Nayden Gerov. He is a national enlightened author. The first lyric poet aims to enlighten people and has simple and strong language in his works. ?Stoyan and Rada?, which is the first lyric in Bulgarian literature, is differential in many aspects. Love theme is approached in a striking manner. According to Bulgarian researchers, ?Stoyan and Rada? will last as an important document and as the beginning of the lyric and epic poetry. Since his role in Bulgarian Renaissance and style he applied in his works, N. Gerov is one of the most unmatched authors of Bulgarian literature.
