Abstract
After the World War II had ended; European nations, not to have war again by economic reasons, made common usage of industrial raw materials and by this way they created economic development and deploy. Rebuilding itself under the specific circumstances of each period, the idea ?Europe? made the state nations turn into a form in which they assign some of their tasks and responsibilities to supranational foundations, dating from the 1950's. The idea ?Europe?, which aimed to join together in political and cultural dimensions in addition to economic axis with the 1992 Maastricht Treaty, started to be represented with the European Union. More than 50 years, European nations have been signing agreements that aim to unite under a unique roof of Europe. In a time not planned, Turkey has come to the point to be determined its membership and future. Turkey?s integration process to Europe should be evaluated by the memory and agreements of the idea ?Europe? .This study, which enclose the evaluation of the founder principles of the idea ?Europe? and EU policies, discussed the integration process of Turkey and accomplished in the empirical study on the British written media.
