Colonialism is economic and political domination of state over another state, nation and community. European states colonial activities towards Africa coincide with the fifteenth-century. Italy started its colonial activities in 19th century due to its late completion of the national unity. Italy cannot find its hopes in the First World War, Mussolini?s desire to be Duce and the dreams of reanimate Roman Empire carried Italian army to vast deserts of Africa.Ethiopia, which?s historical origins based on previous years and rich in underground resources, was part of the only non-colonial Africa land. Ethiopia, in particular, in order to secure himself against Italy became a member of the League of Nations in 1923. Although Ethiopia is a member of the League of Nations still suffered the invasion of Italy, which is member state of Nation League at same time.In the first section of the study, it is touched on the history of the Ethiopia and being focused on the process of the Ottoman province of Ethiopia. In the second part, after giving brief information about the history of Italy it describes national unity of Italy and Ethiopia policy. Forming the main body of the thesis, in the third section, the preparatory phase of the war the general form of the course and outcome of the battle are evaluated. In the fourth chapter, the attitude of the League of Nations towards war is investigated. In the last chapter, it focused on the process of Turkey?s participation in the measures taken by the League of Nations and the attitude of the Turkish press. And finally, Vehip Pasha's life is explained.
