Gümrük Birliği'nin iktisadi etkileri: Belarus örneği
Özet
The Eurasian Economic Union, which emerged on the one hand due to the success of the integration formation like the European Union and on the other hand due to the common economic and political 'past', is an important step for the former Soviet countries. Nowadays the analysis of the economic effects of the Eurasian Economic Union has an important meaning. Established in 2010, the Customs Union between Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, as of 2015, with the participation of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, the Eurasian Economic Union is a new but substantial regional organization. İt has a well-developed institutional environment, which provides the implementation of common customs tariff and common labor market within the Union. But besides the positive results, there are criticisms about the Eurasian Economic Union due to problems such as Russia's dominant position, authoritarian nature of some political regimes, dependence on oil and natural gas exports. This study included the analysis of formation process of the Eurasian Economic Union, evaluation of macroeconomic indicators of member states, comparison of data on GDP, FDI, growth, tariffs and non-tariff barriers before and after the Union, analysis of static and dynamic effects on the Belarusian economy. It provides a detailed qualitative and quantitative assessment of the economic effects that have occurred on the Belarusian economy after creating the Customs Union.
